After the Game Jam
It’s now been a few days since I finished the book, and while I have made two minor updates to the file I’ve otherwise let it sit.
After that breath, though, I want to talk about next steps!
Baby Steps
First thing I need to do is go back through all the language and make sure it’s consistent & clear. Then I need to decide if any of it needs to be changed in order to be, well, better fit for the purpose. For example, the Epilogue section is one of the more important ones, to me, in the game and it got so little attention when I was coming down to the wire. Making sure the way the results should be used is helpful and the language of the results themselves “pops” is going to be on my list.
Secondly, I want to create a free scenario—likely only two pages or so—that can act as a start to a campaign and show how GMs can take what the players come up with on character creation and turn it into a Worthy game. ;)
Eventually
In the long run, I want to do what I’d call a “v2” that implements a number of extra and optional features that better underline the major themes the game is built around. The goal, though, is to do that without messing with the straightforward and small nature of the game. Mostly “better presented” and “better expressed” rather than “more book.”
Hope that helps anyone curious know where this is going, and if someone spots an error or confusing element please comment on this post to let me know.
